All I can say is IT'S ABOUT TIME! My family has waited many years for a sequel to the first Zoombinis program. Mountain Rescue lives up to the reputation of its predecesor. You will not have the slightest regret adding either of these programs to your software library. The best thing is that kids will be learning, and improving their thinking skills while they are "playing." This is one of those rare programs where both parent and child can be happy.

This time, the Zoombinis have been attacked by a savage storm. Some of the Zoombinis take refuge in a nearby 'safe' cave. The cave turns out to be almost as dangerous as the storm. Your child will have to solve brain-twisting puzzles to help the Zoombinis escape to safety. They will be using mathematical reasoning (more than they would EVER want to know they were using) and more logical thinking skills than years worth of critical thinking courses.

The updated graphics are more 3-D in nature. The puzzles include hypothesis testing, algebraic thinking, set theory, data sorting/ordering, and graphing. Your children will also be introduced to concepts such as networks, permutations, binary numbers and binary computing.

While you do not need to own the original program to enjoy this one, I can promise you will not be disappointed with the purchase of both. Grab these while you can. Zoombini programs are instant classics!
