Winnie the Pooh Toddler

Disney has done a nice job with this new program. Your toddlers will enjoy spending time with their Hundred Acre Woods friends in this easy to use program.

Winnie the Pooh Toddler requires no mouse clicking ability. Children this young do better with mom or dad, however.

Pooh, Christopher Robin, Tigger and Piglet are lounging under a tree, just waiting to play with your child. Glide the mouse over one of these characters, and the program jumps to a game or activity.

Christopher Robin- Play music with Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Objects all over the screen (horns, pans, balls etc.) make noise when the cursor crosses them. Move the cursor over one of the friends, and he or she will play an instrument. If the cursor is held over a friend for a second longer, a sing-a-long song starts. While these songs are cute, they are not terribly 'singable'.

Tigger- Tigger invites your child to play "Who Likes To." Each character shows your child what he likes to do (sleep, catch butterflies, sing etc.) Then they hide the clues, and your toddler must remember which friend likes which activity. This is great for slightly older toddlers. Clues change each time your child plays.

Piglet- Toddlers will love this balloon popping game. Popping balloons helps Pooh and his friends get back down to the ground. Each time the game is played, different objects are inside the balloons, such as letters, colors, numbers etc. There is no 'testing' here, just incidental learning.

A printing section requires mouse clicking, but is still accessible to toddlers. Make sure that your toddler doesn't print everything in sight accidentally. You can help them print flashcards, coloring pages, stickers and more. Toddlers will enjoy this easy to use program, and you will appreciate the ease of use and calm, peaceful atmosphere.

Bottom Line: A nice program for toddlers with little computer ability. Quiet feeling leaves toddlers refreshed and not frenetic.
