Winnie the Pooh Kindergarten

Those who are diehard Pooh fans, or those who are just not ready for solid Kindergarten skills, may like this program. Dr. Seuss Kindergarten, or Reader Rabbit's Kindergarten will better serve most children in this age group.
Pooh and his friends decide to make a homeschool of sorts, as Christopher Robin leaves for public school. Each of the friends invites your child to a different learning area. While well animated, and easy to use, the learning activities never really met testers expectations. There is no real 'teaching' here, only creative testing.
Pooh's Thoughtful Spot: Using picture stickers, create your own personal thoughtful spot. Choose the weather, scenery etc. Not enough options to choose from.
Number Balloons: Three skill levels, from simple counting, to subtraction. Addition and subtraction are taught in a very odd way. The skills are never really taught in their truest sense.
Musical Instruments: Create instruments with Eeyore. While the instruments are silly, it is impossible to play along with the background music due to delays every time you hit a key.
Word Shop: Find pictures that start with a given letter, match pictures to words, and words to pictures. Nothing is ever really 'taught' here, including letter sounds. Your child is just tested on how well they guess, or already know the skills.
Treasure Hunt: A good map reading activity, but not your normal Kindergarten fare. Help Tigger bounce around a map in order to find a treasure. By level three, your child will have to use NW and NE directions etc., which many confuse some without your intervention.
Shape Sorting: Sort shapes into jars for Rabbit. By level three, there are multiple possibilities for many shapes.
There was just not enough real learning here. Cute animations, but not a solid Kindergarten package in testers opinion.
Bottom Line: If you want to see Pooh on the computer, stick to other Winnie the Pooh programs. Not a great choice for Kindergarten skill development.
