Star Wars X-Wing Collectors Series

Star Wars fans with older computers won't want to miss this classic collection. Everyone doesn't have a Pentium III 550 yet, and must make do with what they have. If you still have an older Pentium 90, or 133 you are in business here. These three programs are among some of the best flight simulators around...if you can forgive the older graphics and interface.
The only special equipment you will need are a joystick, and an Internet connection if you want the multi-player mode to work.
Star Wars X-Wing: The oldest of the three programs, from 1993, finds you defending the last remaining element of decent society. The Jedi Knights have all been destroyed, the Senate abolished, and the Emperor in full control. He will want you to join him, so be strong. In over 120 single player missions, you can fly any one of four rebel crafts, guiding them through dog fights, hit and run raids and more. This is a very old program by today's standards, but still a lot of fun.
Star Wars TIE Fighter: From 1994, this program finds you choosing sides. You can fly for the rebellion, or the Emperor here. You will have to think hard. The rebel alliance is not necessarily behaving itself in this game. Their treachery is threatening the core of society. There are more than 100 single player missions included. The training simulator gets you ready for combat. Much improved graphics here, although still rather old and choppy.
X-Wing vs TIE Fighter Flight School: This special edition of X-Wing vs TIE Fighter is only available in this collection. It includes 14 fully playable missions. Again, you can choose which side you will be loyal to. X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, from 1997 was the most popular of these three programs. This is the program that will give you multi-player abilities over a network or the Internet. The graphics were improved enough by this date to make this one a program that loyal Star Wars gamers today still enjoy.
If you enjoy Star Wars, flight simulators, or battle simulations, you won't want to miss this great collection. Admittedly rather old graphically, but still fun action.
Bottom Line: An older program that includes three great classics for Star Wars flight simulator fans.
