Microsoft joins the ranks of other football game creators with its first football program, NFL Fever 2000. While not as in-depth as Madden NFL 2000, or as spectacular as its console game counterparts, this is a great football game.

NFL Fever 2000 is a good choice for those just trying out sports game programs. The fact that it lacks some advanced features, such as trades, franchises, advanced stats etc, make this one a little easier for novices to handle. True sports nuts may miss these features, but the great graphics, and easy gameplay make up for what is missing.

The graphics are spectacular. Crowd noises and commentary add to the real football feel here. Commentators are Matt Millen and Dick Stockton.

For those who are a little less knowledgeable about the game of football, you can even have the computer call your plays. Testers found this one easy to learn, and spectacular to look at. Even with the few advanced features missing, this is the football game to buy.

Bottom Line: An easy to learn football game with spectacular graphics. Great choice for football fans.
