Madeline Rainy Day Activities

If you are looking for projects for your winter-bound kids to do, they will love this new Madeline program. While it does not try to be an academic program, like some of the previous Madeline programs, thinking skills are included in many of the activities. This program is exactly what it claims to be, a good group of activities for indoor play on a rainy day.

From the main screen your child can select any number of activities. They will find projects such as:

Madeline Trivia Matching Games Dot-to-dot

Mask making

Art activities

Dress up activities

Brain teaser puzzles (great activity here!)

I particularly liked the printable activities for use away from the computer. These include activities such as science experiments, post card games, word games, brain teasers and more.

The variety of activities here is very good, although none of them go into an extreme amount of depth. The art activities, for example, only have a half dozen pictures to color, and there are few options in the dress up area. For this reason, this program won't keep your child busy month after month. It is a good fill-in activity and contains some worthwhile projects for kids who are a bit bored.
