This is a good program, regardless of the success of the upcoming movie release. The activities are well thought out, and a lot of fun. This program was surprisingly well accepted by testers, male and female. Older kids even enjoyed the activities.
From the main screen, your children can access any of eight activities, represented by character icons from the story. When you click on one, you are treated to a musical 'fly-by' of the castle, which testers never tired of. Each of the activities contains three skill levels, which can be self-adjusted.
- Prince's Practice Match- This is a martial arts patterning activity. Your child must help Louis repeat the martial arts moves the prince performs.
- Louis's Floating Fireworks- A great maze where Louis must push crates through a water maze.
- The King's Printing Press- A typical (not extravagant) printing area for making cards, awards, and newsletters in the kings 'quite modern' printing room.
- Anna's Umbrella Game- Your children hide items under umbrellas. They must find them again, but the game gets tricky when the children start exchanging umbrellas!
- Rama's Hot Air Rescue- A difficult game where you must fire the balloons burners to control its movements through obstacle courses while saving people.
- Tuptim's Musical Mix-up- A great musical patterning activity which develops listening skills, and note reading ability.
- Master Little's Jug-O-Gems- Catch all of the falling gems without having all of your teeth knocked out.
- Tusker's Fruit Launch- An interesting science activity where your child must adjust the force and angle of launch for various size fruits in order to hit a target.
The only complaint testers had with this one was that there wasn't more. Games are well done, and your children are sure to have a lot of fun with this one while developing their thinking skills.
Bottom Line: A great program for kids who enjoy problem solving. Very well liked by young testers.
