While my homeschool hardly qualifies as a "community" needing sophisticated coordination (although it feels like is some days!) I spent enough time in the public schools to know what a monumental job it is to coordinate so much information.

Group Fusion is a great program that allows your school community (students, parents, administrators and general public) to communicate and let each other know what is happening. A public high school is a large community with more factions, clubs, interests, and areas than most people can imagine. This program, which is paid for with a monthly fee, allows varying groups to enter their own information withouth jeopardizing the security of the entire school computer system.

If you would like to have an area where your debate students can actually debate, or your football team can post it's schedule, and highlights of last night's game, this is a program well worth taking a closer look at.
