Looking for the best soccer action around? There is little doubt that FIFA Soccer 2000 is the top choice for soccer fans looking for PC action. While perhaps not an overwhelming upgrade from the '99 version, FIFA 2000 should be your first choice if you have a soccer fan in your house.

FIFA 2000 allows you to play with all of the US MLS teams, plus all of your favorite European, South American, and other International teams. A nice new feature is the Classics team list. Here you can choose to play with some of the best teams from past years. Soccer fans will enjoy this added feature.

Testers found the controls fairly easy to handle. Even soccer novices could at least learn to move the ball down the field and attempt a goal. Expert gamers will find enough fine control to keep them happy as well. You can use a gamepad or keyboard for this game.

The graphics here are stunning. While they are not as good as the new Dreamcast console graphics, of course, they are darn good! When it rains, it looks like it is really raining. The players' faces and bodies have lost that blocky look found in older PC games. If you have a scanner, you can even add your face to a players body and 'join the action.' The music is also great. The opening scene features the song "You Can't Stop the Rock." Soundtrack featuring British star Robbie Williams was very nice. Too often game soundtracks become repetitive and annoying.

You can play FIFA in training mode (for those just learning the ropes,) or move on to tournament play (several varieties,) as well as exhibition and special tournaments.

Soccer fans won't want to miss this program. There is no need to wade through the other cheaper soccer games on the market, this one is king.

Bottom Line: The best soccer game on the market. Well worth purchasing for the soccer fan in your house. Fairly easy controls make it accessible to novices as well as experts.
