Emergency Prep SAT/ACT

While waiting until the last minute to prepare for the SAT or ACT is NOT recommended, it happens from time to time. Procrastination and teens seem to go hand-in-hand! If prepared ahead, utilizing Inside the SAT, or Score Builder for the SAT would be better options. If your procrastinating teen finds him or herself in dire straits, however, this program will act as a life-saver of sorts.
This program will run your teen through the basics of each test in a fast-paced manner. There are two practice tests, and one full-length test included. While this program does not go into the depth of the above mentioned programs, it covers enough to help the woefully unprepared feel a bit more confident.
Emergency Prep: SAT/ACT covers:
The lessons take place within a cartoon car. On the dashboard are all of the needed controls. You can access a guided tour, lessons, college information, and more. A great section includes college admission information, as well as average scores for their new students. Lessons are included in the glove compartment 'road map.' On a map of the US, you can access each lesson, or select one from a pull-down menu. Unlike other test prep programs, you can skip around quite a bit here. If you are really pressed for time, you can concentrate on those areas you know will be a problem for you.
If your teen is willing to spend a few days reviewing subjects, which he or she hopefully already has a handle on, this will help greatly with test preparation. As it says on the box, "Attempting to breeze through the SAT without preparation could be hazardous to your future!"
Bottom Line: A great test preparation program for those who have done no preparation and find themselves with a week to study for the SAT or ACT.
