Disney Arcade Frenzy

Copyright: KBkids.com

Children who enjoy Nintendo-type games, and arcade games, will enjoy this Disney program. Be aware that there is nothing educational about it, and some parents may find a few of the games too violent.

This program includes:

Four games

Mushoot: Help Mushu defend the village from the Huns. They are cresting a nearby hill, and must be shot with a cannon before reaching the village. While they merely 'vanish' when hit, this game is a bit violent. At one point Mushu yells, "The only good Hun is a dying Hun!"

Rooftop Ruckus: Abu must hop all over Agrabah, turning on lights and capturing the magical lamp. There is a lot of variety here as the game progresses. If you kids liked the older versions of Donkey Kong, they will enjoy this particular game.

Flounder Quest: In this underwater maze, Sebastian must rescue a trapped Flounder, and find treasure along the way. There are mean jellyfish who will sting you, as well as sharks, and Ursula's assistants. Kids who like Mario games will enjoy Flounder Quest, as there are many 'power up' objects, and spots to get extra points along the way.

Flying Frenzy: Pegasus, the flying horse, must knock Titans off Mount Olympus before they reach the top. The Minotaur, Medusa, and others are bound to thwart your efforts. Testers found this game difficult to figure out, and their least favorite. Too much time was spent figuring out how to make Pegusus fly. Other games were more appealing to young children.

This is not a state-of-the-art arcade game, but will be fun for Disney fans who enjoy this sort of gameplay. Others will do better with Disney Villain's Revenge, or one of the movie themed programs.

Bottom Line: A decent foray into arcade action for Disney, but definitely not for every Disney fan.
