While this program does not attempt to do anything terribly fancy (ie. Animate your drawing etc.) it is a fairly solid art activity program. It does not allow free drawing creations, and is more like the, originally very popular program, Kid Cuts. Creation Corner offers art activities for those kids who enjoy cutting and pasting.

From the main menu, your children can select crafts, games, or basics (puppets, hats, placemats etc.) From there, they will be transported to an easy to understand screen that lets them select their project.

There are more than 100 various games, puzzles, and projects included. Most of them are completed using common household objects. You will seldom need to purchase items for your children to use, if you are used to keeping a good stock of art supplies on hand. An occasional scrounged cardboard box may be needed, however.

Once a project has been selected, it is time to color. There are over 80 different colors to choose from, and several different applicators (colored pencil, water brush, marker, chalk, oil brush, and crayon.) Your children will also find a good selection of stamps and fonts to decorate their projects. If you do not own a color printer, your children can color these projects away from the computer as well.

The instructions for each project can be viewed on the screen, or printed out. Testers found them easy to follow, but some more advanced projects will require adult help. Each project is labeled "easy," "medium" or "advanced," so your children know what they are getting into. They will also see a list of materials before they start their project, so they can make sure you have all supplies needed.

Testers found this program straightforward and easy to use. There is nothing fancy, or innovative here. Your kids won't care, however. If they like to construct art projects, this one will keep them busy for a long time.

Bottom Line: A solid art activity package that will keep kids who enjoy cutting and pasting busy for a long time.
