Clue Finders 5th Grade

Clue Finders 5th Grade is heads and tails above it's Jump Start counterpart. My kids have loved each of the Clue Finders programs, so I was pleased to find this one just as good. This program is great for kids in the lower academic end of 5th grade, through beginning 6th grade. New A.D.A.P.T technology allows the program to adjust to your child's learning level.

You can have your child take a pre-assessment test. This test allows the program to adjust itself in each academic area to your child's special needs. If you don't utilize the test, the program will start all academics at the lowest level. As more and more companies create programs which track your child, and adjust to your child's level, we will find computer programs becoming more useful in teaching children. No longer will they have to plod through activities just to get to the next level, or depend on mom or dad to come adjust skill levels. This is a great trend!

Clue Finders 5th Grade covers all 5th grade academic areas, including:

This is far more than just a list of activities. Your children will be attempting to solve the "Mystery of the Living Volcano." They will not feel they are doing yet another workbook. The storyline is enthralling enough that it kept my eight year old going, even though the skills were far beyond his ability. In order to solve the mystery, bridges must be crossed, artifacts found and clues collected. There is a lot to keep your child busy. The academics are incorporated as part of the clue finding process, and not as a chore with a reward at the end.

As a parent, you will find a total of 85 different skills covered, at 4 different skill levels. You will also find a printable workbook and extra activities to do away from the computer. There is enough 'meat' here to keep your kids busy for a long time. The best part is, they will enjoy the challenge.
