Bear's Sense of Adventure

A good choice for fans of the television show and more passive, young preschoolers.

This program will appeal more to younger preschoolers, and those who either enjoy Bear in the Big Blue House (on the Disney Channel), or those who are at least used to watching television. Although a good program, there tends to be more 'show' than interaction at times. Very fidgety children will probably become a bit impatient with this one.

Bear and his friends have invited you over to explore your five senses. Each of the five characters invites you to go on an adventure.

Each of the characters will let you choose the items you will need to find around the house. As you explore the rooms, and play with the different characters, keep an eye out for the items you will need to finally complete your project. There is a lot of watching throughout the program. You can't usually interupt the video and sound sequences. Kids who like to do a lot of 'click and go' with their programs will become bored.

As you explore each room, you will find hot spots and magnified areas. When you see a magnifying glass appear you can go to an activity. These include:

While the activities and adventures are not enough to thrill preschool computer freaks, they will be great for kids who are fans of the television show. Most kids simply won't need this much reinforcement from the computer to learn about their five senses.
